This dual course teaches the Lifting and Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations 1998 (LOLER) and the Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations (PUWER). Training looks at the aims of both sets of regulations and how to apply them to the workplace.
Equipment that uses a face piece must be tested to ensure that it fits the person who is intened to use it. An ill fitting face piece – like a mask – can allow dangerous gases or chemicals to leak in. Face pieces that are too tight can also cause problems. This course teaches users of such equipment how to carry out face fit testing.
Workers who use abrasive wheels in their trade need to know how to use and maintain them safely. On this course delegates will learn how to mount abrasive wheels, cut off saws and discs on machinery. How to inspect, service and store equipment is also covered.
