IOSH managing safely
Managing safely is a course for managers and supervisors in any sector and any organisation. It’s designed to give managers all they need to know to help them handle health and safety in their teams. The flexible, high-impact programme covers all the main health and safety issues and includes a session tackling the environment too.
The course lasts for 24 hours in total.
Managing safely can be delivered over 4 consecutive days or 4 single days over 4 weeks and has 8 modules.
Delegates will be required to complete a project in their own time and based on their own workplace.
A written exam paper has also to be successfully completed.
Completion of this course provides each delegate with:
Module 1 - Introducing managing safely
Module 2 - Assessing risks
Module 3 - Controlling risks
Module 4 - Understanding your responsibilities
Module 5 - Identifying hazards
Module 6 - Investigating accidents and incidents
Module 7 - Measuring performance
Module 8 - Protecting our environment
Learners will be required to complete a project in their own time and based on their own workplace. A written exam paper has also to be successfully completed in order to achieve the certificate. Our experienced and knowledgeable instructor will guide the learners through the course material and offer support and advice to ensure that learners are prepared for the assessment. The training is accessible and additional support is available to learners who require it.
This training course can be carried out on customer’s premises. Requirements are a room with an electrical supply where a laptop and projector can be used.
A certificate is issued by IOSH on the successful completion of the four day training course.
