At Boyd Group we appreciate that risk assessment compliance can be stressful for businesses. We can ensure your business systems and sites remain fully and legally compliant; operating at the highest of health and safety standards.

Risk assessments will cover legal requirements, identification of hazards and risks, implementing control measures to reduce risk and a recording of assessment findings.

What’s Involved?

After initial consultation by telephone to get an idea of what the premises consists of we attend site at a mutually convenient time. On arrival at the premises after introductions and where required, confirmation id of who we are, we advise the client that we will need access to all of the buildings.

The Fire Risk Assessment is only carried out by experienced qualified Assessors and starting at the front door of the premises we walk round looking and checking all the required items such as signage, fire doors, breaches in compartmentation, electrical control panels, gas appliance, alarm testing certificates and emergency lighting.

While walking round, any extension cables are examined for overloading as well as portable heating appliances and PAT evidence of PAT testing. Outside the premises is also checked for possible arson attacks and external faces of fire doors to ensure they are unrestricted and are appropriately signed.

The client is asked to show the Fire Log Book to ensure all testing has been carried out and copies of electrical testing and boiler maintenance. General information such as number of employees, construction details of the building and date of construction as well as operating times are noted.

For more information or to book a fire risk assessment for your premises, please get in touch today and we will be happy to help.
